AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 01-819, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRANBURY, TEXAS, BY GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF GRANBURY; REVISING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRANBURY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1.
Ordinance No. 01-819, as amended, is hereby amended by granting a Specific Use Permit for an Auto Repair, Minor use in a "LC" Light Commercial zoning district and described as:
An approximate 1.1 acre portion of Block 3, Lot 3 of the Southtown Plaza Addition, City of Granbury, Hood County Texas, addressed as 1423 N. Plaza Drive with the following conditions:
a. The Specific Use Permit shall automatically expire 1 year from City Council approval, and;
b. A site plan will be required with Specific Use Permits in accordance with Section 11.1, SUP or "S"- Specific Use Permits.
c. All outdoor lighting, including parking lot lighting, shall be directed away from any property zoned or developed for residential uses.
d. Shall not be used for the storage of wrecked vehicles or the dismantling of vehicles or the storage of vehicle parts.
e. All vehicles being stored for repair shall be screened from all public rights-of-way.
SECTION 6.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00). Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 8.
The City Secretary of the City of Granbury is hereby directed to publish in the official newspaper of the City of Granbury, the caption, Section 1, penalty clause, publication clause and effective date clause of this Ordinance one time as required by Section 2.13 of the Charter of the City of Granbury.
SECTION 9.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and publication as required by law, and it is so ordained.
