The City of Cresson, Texas passed the following Zoning Ordinance on January 26, 2016:
ORDINANCE NO. 16-001
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 04-008 AS AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CRESSON, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION ON CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CRESSON; REVISING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The Ordinance, among other things, provides as follows:
Ordinance No. 04-008, as amended, is hereby amended by rezoning the hereinafter property described as Lots 18-23 in Cresson Crossroads, Phase One, an addition to the City of Cresson, Hood County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Slide C-126, Plat Records, Hood County, Texas:
From: I (Industrial)
to MF (Multi-Family)
Any person, firm, or corporation, who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not more the Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00). Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
The City Secretary of the City of Cresson is hereby directed to publish in the official newspaper of the City of Cresson, the caption, Section 1, penalty clause, publication clause and effective date clause of This Ordinance one time.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after that date of its passage and publication as required by law, and it is so ordained.
