AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES 12.04 OF THE GRANBURY CITY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING SUBSECTION 12.04.055 DESIGNATING A NO PARKING ZONE ON HOWARD CLEMMONS ROAD; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANBURY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Article 12.04 " Parking" of the Granbury City Code is hereby amended to add subsection 12.04.056 which shall read as follows:
There is hereby established a no parking zone on the east side of the road beginning at the northeast corner of Business Highway 377 (W Pearl St) and Howard Clemmons Road and continuing northerly along the property line of Granbury High School 700 feet.
SECTION 4.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 5.
The City Secretary of the City of Granbury is hereby authorized to publish in the official newspaper of the City of Granbury, the caption, penalty clause, and effective date clause of this ordinance one time.
SECTION 6.
This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
