Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by Hood County, Texas (the "County") on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. CT via teleconference, with respect to the issuance by the Issuer of its tax anticipation notes in one or more series (the "Tax Note") pursuant to a plan of financing in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $7,600,000, the proceeds of which will be used for the following purposes (collectively, the "Projects"):
(1) Acquiring and equipping fire trucks for use by volunteer fire departments within the County to furnish fire protection to the residents of the County;
(2) Acquiring and equipping an ambulance for use by Texas EMS to provide emergency ambulance service within the County; and
(3) Paying the costs of issuing the Tax Note.
The County will own the Projects and has entered or will enter into contracts with each of the nine volunteer fire departments and Texas EMS for the use of the Projects.
The Tax Note will be secured by and payable from ad valorem taxes levied upon all taxable property within the County, within the limits prescribed by law.

This notice is published and the above-described hearing is to be held in satisfaction of the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, regarding the public approval prerequisite to the exemption from federal income taxation of interest on the Tax Note. The public hearing will be held via teleconference in accordance with Revenue Procedure 2022-20 issued by the Internal Revenue Service.
