ADVERTISEMENT TO BID CITY OF CRESSON TPWD PARK PROJECT

City of Cresson will receive sealed Bids for Bob Cornett Park until 2:00 PM local time on December 1, 2021, at the City of Cresson City Hall located at 8901 Hwy. 377, Cresson, TX, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be hosted at the City of Cresson City Hall located at 8901 Hwy. 377, Cresson, TX on Tuesday November 9th at 2:00 pm. Bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the conditions of the park site located at 9300 Pittsburg St, Cresson, TX. All questions and substitution submittals are due prior to Friday November 12th at 2:00 pm. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work including, but not limited to: 1 - Concrete Trail 2 - Playground 3 - Pavilion 4 - Picnic tables and benches 5 - Chain link fencing and grass sod for sport fields 6 - Earthwork, clearing, erosion control 7 - Landscape This bid also contains 3 Additive Bid Alternates as follows: A1 - Half court basketball A2 - Fishing platform A3 - Bird watching station Bids should be delivered to CITY OF CRESSON City Hall 8901 Hwy. 377 Cresson, TX 76035 All bids should be referenced on the exterior of the bid envelope as Attention: Katy Froyd, City Secretary Bid Documents Bob Cornett Park TPWD Contract # 48-00165 Bidding Documents and Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications may be examined or obtained electronically at www.civcastusa.com (Project ID = "Bob Cornett Park TPWD Contract # 48-001165"). In addition documents may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM at Cresson City Hall. Copies may be obtained from the City Secretary at the address shown below for a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 per set. CITY OF CRESSON City Hall 8901 Hwy. 377 Cresson, TX 76035 Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bid sureties will be returned, upon request, to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders within five days after the opening of Bids. Remaining bid sureties will be returned, upon request, after complete execution of the Contract. The surety company providing the Bid Bond must conform to the same requirements for surety companies providing Performance and Maintenance Bonds, and Payment Bonds as described below. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Maintenance Bond, and Payment Bond on the forms furnished with the Contract Documents in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best's Key Rating of "B" or better. The surety company, the agency and agent issuing the Performance and Maintenance Bond and Payment Bond must be authorized to issue such bonds in Texas in an amount equal to or greater than the total contract price. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. At the option of the City, all or part of the contract may be awarded. The award of contract will be made at a scheduled meeting of the City of Cresson City Council on December 14, 2021. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
