The City of Cresson will conduct a CONDITIONAL Close Out Public Hearing to discuss the activities accomplished during the implementation of a Texas Department of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)-funded Water Project under Contract No. 7218101. At the Hearing, citizens will have the opportunity to discuss the actual accomplishments of the grant funded activities at the Municipal Water Yard located at the intersection Mountain Ridge North and Overlook Court. The project included the following construction improvements: a new well in the Trinity Aquifer, including pump, chlorination equipment, electrical controls, fencing, piping, and all related appurtenances. The final approval of the well project for public use has not yet been issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). This close out public hearing is "conditional".
In addition, the City's participation in Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity will be discussed. At this time, the City of Cresson will also present information regarding the National Fair Housing Act and will discuss ways to implement Fair Housing within the City.
The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, the 28th day of July 2020 at 7:00 PM in the Cresson City Hall located at 8901 East US Highway 377; Cresson, Texas 76035. All citizens and interested parties are encouraged to attend. Interested citizens who are not able to attend the Public Hearing may submit their written comments to the office of the Mayor, City of Cresson, PO Box 619, Cresson, TX 76035.

Individuals who require a translator, auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact Rachel Shelly, City Administrator, at City Hall by calling (817) 396-4729 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Citizens requiring assistance must make contact at least two (2) days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
