A public meeting is being held on Thursday, August 1, at 1:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 116 West Bridge St, Granbury, TX 76048 to discuss the City of Granbury's proposed Clean Water State Revolving Fund Phase 1 Wastewater System Improvements project (TWDB 73813) to make improvements to its wastewater system, including construction of a new East wastewater treatment plant, associated water and electrical support improvements for the new wastewater treatment plant, various lift station improvements and collection system improvements within the City. One of the purposes of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it. This project involves construction in the 100-year floodplain. Alternatives to construction in a floodplain, potential impacts on floodplains, and proposed mitigation measures will be addressed during the public meeting. The total estimated cost of all proposed project is $34,950,000; the total cost for the project elements included in the Environmental Information Document (EID) is $14,002,400. The estimated monthly bill for a typical resident is currently $37.00. No user rate increase is anticipated to be required to finance this project. An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231. An EID for the project has been prepared which will be available for public review at the City of Granbury City Hall located at 116 West Bridge Street, Granbury, TX 76048 between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm for 30 days following the date of this notice.
