The City of Cresson is making application for park grant funding to create recreational opportunities within the City of Cresson. Portions of the proposed parklands may be located in a 100 year floodplain. The proposed recreational construction within the floodplain may have an environmental impact. No construction will take place in area wetlands.
The City of Cresson will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Cresson City Council Chambers located at 8901 Highway 377, Cresson, TX. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive citizen comments regarding the possible environmental impact on the proposed portion of the project located within the floodplain, pursuant to Executive Order 11988 (Floodplain Management) and Executive Order 11990 (Protection of Wetlands). The information regarding the proposed recreation improvements project will be available for review at the Public Hearing.
The City of Cresson encourages the public to express their views regarding the proposed recreational improvements and possible floodplain impacts at this public hearing.
